Hannah oversees the creative, commercial and operational strategy for the Factual Entertainment and ...Events production. This includes the Events and Factual Entertainment teams. She also oversees development of new factual entertainment formats to ensure the continued creative growth of IP in this key genre.

Katie Brewer
Director of Production, Factual Entertainment and Events
Katie Brewer is the Director of Production for Factual Entertainment and Events and leads the produc...tion and business teams in developing, winning and producing commissions across all the BBC Studio Factual Entertainment bases across the UK. She is responsible for helping define and deliver the commercial strategy to grow the business and has overall production management responsibility for the genres large slate of programmes. In addition, she leads on the department's expansion into AVOD and driving new business in international territories. Katie works with the Unscripted, Events, Factual Entertainment and Digital Originals teams.

Harriet Dormer
Head of Production, Factual Entertainment and Events
Harriet joined BBC Studios in October 2020 from her previous role as Head of Production for Little G...em Media. She has worked across a large number of shows at various companies both in the UK and the US. Credits include Friday Night Project (Channel 4), Celebs Go Dating (E4) and The Singles Project (Bravo) among others.

Claire is responsible for the planning and execution of all royal, ceremonial, and commemorative pro...gramming. Claire has delivered global events such as the funeral of Nelson Mandela, the international broadcast of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Platinum Jubilee, and most recently, the State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Gemma Thomas
Deputy Head of Production, Events
Gemma Thomas is responsible for leading the Events’ production management team and has recently over...seen the funeral of HM The Queen’s, The Platinum Jubilee coverage, and The Earthshot Prize Awards. Gemma re-joined BBC Studios in 2020 as Production Executive after working at The Garden Productions and Sandpaper Films. In her previous years at the BBC, she line produced shows such as Top Gear, Invictus Games, Watchdog & Rogue Traders as well as numerous Ceremonial Events.

Catherine Stirk
Series Producer, Events
Catherine has led large production teams on a variety of different events including the Invictus Gam...es, The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, Shakespeare Live! for the RSC, and the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, winning several awards for her work with the department in recent years.

Rosheen is a multi-award-winning producer responsible for delivering complex events for key annivers...aries including RAF 100 and the Centenary of Passchendaele. Most recently Rosheen created VE Day 75: The People’s Celebration which was produced at the height of the Coronavirus lockdown.

Sarah leads Events development covering a broad slate from live specials to single documentaries. Sh...e has won many high-profile commissions including Votes for Women 100, D-Day 75 and VJ Day 75. Alongside development, Sarah has produced several live events and documentaries for the department.

Martha Housden is the Creative Director of Development for Factual Entertainment and Events at BBC S...tudios which means she has a strategic and creative overview of all the development teams across the department. A trained journalist, she has spent her career creating, devising and selling factual entertainment formats with global appeal and scale at some of the UK’s leading production companies. Her credits include Hungry For It (BBC Three), Master of Ceremonies (BBC Two), First Dates Hotel (C4), The Audition Room (ITV) and Junior Doctors (BBC Three) amongst many others.

Jessica is responsible for sourcing funding partners, developing business models for our brands as well as increasing the commercial value of all IP across the slate. Jessica has a decade of commercial experience in the Film & TV industry having spent most of her career in content distribution before moving across to work in production.
