Helen leads our strategic business development and commercial deal-making, focusing on developing new original content opportunities, creative partnerships and ambitious global growth initiatives. She previously headed up our digital and branded entertainment business, and prior to that ran the formats and live events business in Australia and New Zealand, looking after local versions of popular TV formats including Dancing with the Stars, Mastermind and Bake Off. Louise leads global distribution and monetisation for Audio as part of her role within BBC Studios’ Global Media & Streaming division where she is also responsible for the commercial success of the BBC’s digital news products across bbc.com and mobile. She launched and manages BBC Select, a BBC documentary subscription streaming service in North America. Prior to this, she led BBC Studios’ pay-TV channels and video-on-demand offerings in Africa and Central and Eastern Europe. She has spent several years as Director of Business Development & Strategy for Global Markets where she played a central role in reshaping the BBC’s international channels portfolio, overseeing the digital evolution of our brands and setting up our international TV production network. Thomas helps deliver the business and commercial strategy for the Audio unit and leads the production teams in developing, winning, and delivering commissions. Thomas is a BJTC, APA, Signal and British Podcast Award winner, and an Ambie and IDA Documentary Award nominee. Thomas has produced stories for Apple, Audible, BBC, CBC, Criminal, Crooked, Love + Radio, Spotify, and Wondery amongst others.
