The coverage of the 2024 event went onto win a BAFTA for Best Live Event. 2023 was a record-breaking year with our coverage reaching an incredible 23.1million people on BBC TV.

Eurovision Song Contest

Each year our Entertainment team deliver coverage of the biggest music competition in the world to audiences in the UK. 2023 was a special year which saw the UK hosting the Contest in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine. Our team produced the entire 2023 event which was watched by  an incredible 162 million people across 38 European markets. Our coverage went onto win two BAFTAS at the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards.

With an average audience of 2.5m, BBC One's flagship topical magazine show informs, educates and entertains the nation every weekday evening. The One Show delivers a broad range of topics, from all across the UK and guests often include a mix of some of the biggest names in Hollywood and UK national treasures. Regular features include the National Teaching Awards and the BBC’s 500 Words Finale at Buckingham Palace.

BBC Young Musician

Established in 1978, the long running and much loved biennial competition celebrates the UK’s most promising classical musical performers. Over four decades, the show has discovered and nurtured the careers of some of the biggest classical stars in the world. The contest runs across BBC Two, BBC Four and BBC iPlayer and has launched the careers of stars such as launching the careers of international stars such as Nicola Benedetti, Laura van Der Heijden, Mark Simpson, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Martin James Bartlett.

These New Year’s Eve specials have become the backdrop to the house parties of millions in the UK. Airing before and after the iconic London fireworks, celebrated artists such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Rick Astley, Sam Ryder and Olly Alexander have welcomed in the new year on BBC One.

Loved by musicians and critics alike, this award-winning show presented by Jools Holland is the longest running music television programme on the BBC. . In 2024 and 2023 it received BAFTA nominations and its most recent series included performances from Laura Marling, Roger Taylor, Manic Street Preachers and JADE.

Jools’ Annual Hootenanny

Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra welcome in the new year with Jools’ Annual Hootenanny. Each year sees performances from a rich mix of legends, brand new stars and artists who have had huge success. Performing on the show to welcome in 2025 were The Boomtown Rats, CMAT, Jade, Jungle, Kathy Sledge, Marc Almond, Paul Carrack, Roger Taylor of Queen, Ruby Turner, Toby Lee, and The Dead South.

Morning Live

Morning Live, was the stand-out winner at the 2024 Royal Television Society North West awards picking up Best Factual Series, Best Inclusive Practice and Best Presenter. The show was created during the pandemic as a one stop shop for trusted consumer, money and health advice and draws up to 1.4m viewers a day. As well as bringing lots of warmth and companionship to its loyal audience, factual journalism also sits at the heart of every show.

Gardeners' World

The UK’s biggest and best-loved gardening show has been setting the nation’s horticultural agenda for over 50 years. The shows airs on BBC Two on Friday evenings and has even been given the Royal seal of approval with the team being invited to visit the gardens of King Charles III private residence at Highgrove.  A special lockdown episode in April 2020 which saw presenter Monty Don self-filming footage from his garden, got an audience of 2.7 million, the highest ratings in a decade.

Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby

Now in its sixth season, the show takes a look behind the scenes at some of the most extraordinary hotels across the globe.  Whilst it celebrates the best of what it finds in each location, presenters Rob Rinder and Monica Galetti are not afraid to ask questions that reveal the decisions and visions that guests take for granted and question them where necessary – from design to environmental footprint.

Antiques Roadshow

First airing in 1979, BBC One’s entertaining flagship Sunday night series travels the country with specialists in antiques and fine arts appraising and valuing items. Around 5m tune in each week with around 2,000 people visiting each event to see what unique antiques are displayed. Antiques Roadshow continues to appeal to viewers around the world and several countries - such as the USA and Finland - have made their own versions.

Platinum Party at the Palace

In June 2022, our Events team created, produced and delivered to the world this incredible concert to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. With performances from Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, Elton John,  Alicia Keys, Diana Ross and a surprise appearance from Paddington Bear which won BAFTAs Memorable Moment of the year award, the concert became the most watched television event of 2022 in the UK.

Royal Carols: Together At Christmas

Held annually, The Princess of Wales hosts a carol service at Westminster Abbey providing a moment to reflect upon the importance of love, empathy and how much we need each other. The service, often attended by members of the wider Royal Family brings together a congregation of 1,600 from all over the UK made of up those that have shown kindness towards others in their communities – whether in their own families, through their work, or as they give up their time through volunteering.

The Coronation Of TM King Charles III & Queen Camilla

The most watched broadcast of 2023, our Events team produced the global coverage of the historic coronation of TM King Charles III and Queen Camilla in Westminster Abbey. Nearly 19million people in the UK tuned into BBC One for the momentous occasion with the production then going on to receive a Royal Television Society award nomination.

The Weakest Link

The family favourite Saturday night quiz show, hosted by Romesh Ranganathan sees eight contestants initially work as a team to try to build a cash prize. Each round, one player will be voted The Weakest Link by their fellow contestants and will leave with nothing. After a final head to head, one player will be crowned The Strongest Link and will take the prize. The Weakest Link has quickly become a global success and is now licenced in over 45 territories.
