Established in 1978, the long running and much loved biennial competition celebrates the UK’s most promising classical musical performers. Over four decades, the show has discovered and nurtured the careers of some of the biggest classical stars in the world. The contest runs across BBC Two, BBC Four and BBC iPlayer and has launched the careers of stars such as launching the careers of international stars such as Nicola Benedetti, Laura van Der Heijden, Mark Simpson, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Martin James Bartlett.

The UK’s biggest and best-loved gardening show has been setting the nation’s horticultural agenda for over 50 years. The shows airs on BBC Two on Friday evenings and has even been given the Royal seal of approval with the team being invited to visit the gardens of King Charles III private residence at Highgrove.  A special lockdown episode in April 2020 which saw presenter Monty Don self-filming footage from his garden, got an audience of 2.7 million, the highest ratings in a decade.
